What you should have?
A good standard of English and the ability to communicate effectively
You must have right to work in UK
You must have your DBS updated.
You must have at least 6 month prior working experience in healthcare.
You must be able to provide 2 references prior
NVQ 2-3 Preferred.
So what will you be doing working at this position:
Preparing residents for bed.
Feeding residents, if necessary, and serving meals.
Changing beds and tidying bedrooms.
Sharing activities to encourage residents to remain as independent as possible.
Help residents with problems of mobility and other physical disabilities (e.g. incontinence), helping with the use of disability aids and caring for the same, where appropriate.
Assisting residents who need help or reassurance, providing light drinks or refreshments where required.
Carrying out regular checks on the building, with particular reference to fire prevention and external security (all windows and external doors secured etc.).
Helping maintain a safe and healthy environment in the Home with due regard to appropriate Food Hygiene and Health & Safety Regulations and to report all accidents to the Person in Charge.
Participating in staff meetings and training activities or courses, as directed by senior staff.
Assisting with End-of-Life Care for residents who are terminally ill.
Undertaking other duties, as necessary.
