Duties:
• Preparing residents for bed.
• Feeding residents, if necessary, and serving meals.
• Changing beds and tidying bedrooms.
• Sharing activities to encourage residents to remain as independent as possible.
• Help residents with problems of mobility and other physical disabilities (e.g. incontinence), helping with the use of disability aids and caring for the same, where appropriate.
• To assist residents who need help or reassurance, providing light drinks or refreshments where required.
• To carry out regular checks on the building, with particular reference to fire prevention and external security (all windows and external doors secured etc.).
• To help maintain a safe and healthy environment in the Home with due regard to appropriate Food Hygiene and Health & Safety Regulations and to report all accidents to the Person in Charge.
• To participate in staff meetings.
• To participate in training activities or course, as directed by senior staff.
• To assist with End-of-Life Care for residents who are terminally ill.
• To undertake other duties, as necessary.

Requirements:
• A good standard of English and the ability to communicate effectively
• Applicant must have right to work in UK
• Applicant must have DBS updated.
• Applicant must have at least 6 month prior working experience in healthcare.
• Applicant must be able to provide 2 references prior
• NVQ 2-3 Preferred.
